Diabetic Eye Disease
Diabetes (high blood sugar) damages multiple parts of the body, including the eye. In the beginning the damage in the eye goes unnoticed, only when the damage is very severe vision loss occurs.

For this reason it is very important that you visit an eye clinic with screening facilities when you have diabetes, even if you feel like your eyes are fine. The Good Shepherd Eye Clinic is equipped to do the diabetic screening and if necessary we can treat the diabetic eye disease (diabetic retinopathy). This way we can prevent you from losing your vision from diabetes.
